The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has called for a hearing with It’s Showtime due to an alleged violation during their July 25, 2023 telecast. The controversy involves the “Isip Bata” segment, where real-life couple Vice Ganda and Ion Perez demonstrated how they eat cake icing.
The “Isip Bata” is a game show with general information questions based on surveys from children. The MTRCB received “numerous complaints” about the “indecent act/s” that aired live on July 25, prompting the hearing.

Meanwhile, another issue arose during the National Dabarkads Day celebration of rival program E.A.T., where Tito Sotto’s kiss to wife Helen Gamboa drew attention and questions from netizens.
MTRCB Chair Lala Sotto-Antonio, who is Tito and Helen’s daughter, also faces calls to summon the E.A.T. team to explain the incident. As the controversy unfolds, fans and viewers await the outcome of both hearings to see how the regulatory body addresses the concerns.
